145th years of #LewisHine, was an #American #sociologist and #photographer. Hine used his #camera as a #tool for #socialreform. His #photographs were instrumental in changing #childlabor laws in the United States.
After Hine's death, his son Corydon donated his #prints and #negatives to the #PhotoLeague, which was dismantled in #1951. The Museum of Modern Art #MOMA was offered his #pictures and did not accept them, but the #GeorgeEastmanHouse did.
